Gifts of Love for young people C.I.C
Why Gifts Of Love?
Hygiene poverty is a growing crisis affecting young people across the UK. For many students, going without basic toiletries can lead to embarrassment, lower confidence, bullying, increased absence from school, and barriers to learning.
Too many young people from low-income backgrounds are living without access to everyday essentials such as shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and sanitary products. These are basic items, yet their absence can have a serious impact on wellbeing, dignity, and opportunity.
At Gifts of Love, we have seen this need first-hand. Through our work with young people, we began providing toiletries, vouchers, and other essential items on a case-by-case basis, and quickly realised how widespread the issue had become.
We understand the sensitivity and privacy surrounding hygiene poverty. That is why we work closely with schools and colleges to provide support in a discreet, respectful, and compassionate way, helping young people access the essentials they need to feel confident, included, and ready to thrive.
Gifts of Love is a charity committed to supporting young people affected by hygiene poverty and lack of access to wider practical support. Our mission is to make sure no young person is overlooked simply because they cannot afford life’s basic essentials.
We provide free hygiene products to young people who may otherwise go without, including those facing disadvantage, financial hardship, or additional barriers within their communities. We also support young parents, helping to improve daily wellbeing and quality of life.
Since 2024, Gifts of Love has discreetly supported more than 500 students across London with monthly hygiene kits. Each kit includes shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, and essential sanitary products.
We believe every young person deserves to feel clean, confident, and able to focus on their future. Every kit is a quiet reminder that they matter. With your support, we can reach more young people who need us most — whether through donations, partnerships, or the supply of essential toiletries.
